Weddings

St John the Divine Church and St Cuthbert’s Church have a long history of helping couples to get married. We love to assist people making this special commitment whether it is a small intimate service or a large social ceremony.

A wedding day is so important and as a church we are committed to marriage as a sound basis for family life. If you are considering getting married and think one of our churches may be the appropriate venue, please do get in touch.

In the first instance please contact the Parish Co-ordinator in the Parish Office and she will arrange for one of the clergy to get in touch and meet with you.

Anyone who lives in Lytham or has strong family links with either church is likely to be allowed to get married with us. So please get in touch.

You can check what parish you live in here.

St. Cuthbert’s Church is situated at the west end of Lytham, a stone’s throw from Lowther Gardens. It has a capacity for around 350 people.

St. John the Divine is located on Lytham front, opposite the iconic Lytham Windmill. It is slightly smaller than its western counterpart, with a capacity for around 250 people.

Both churches are equipped with modern sound systems, as well as traditional organs, so you can fill your ceremony with the music that matches you. You can also book the church choir, in either church, to add that extra lift to the hymns of your choice.

A church wedding can help take some of the stress off wedding planning – you don’t need to worry about things like booking a registrar. Plus, there are always people there to answer questions and set you on the right track.

If you’re itching to get started on your Lytham wedding, don’t hesitate to contact us.
