With sadness we hear of the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.  She has proven a much valued Monarch and of course has been an inspirational Head of the Church of England and Defender of the Faith.  Each year her Christmas Message was filled with her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and it is very clear this belief informed and formed her throughout her life.  Here at JC Lytham we give thanks to God for her life and example.

Through the coming days our churches will be open for prayer and reflection, have open Books of Condolence, offer places to lay flowers and tributes and we will be remembering her within our services in the coming days.

On the eve of her funeral we will hold a Memorial Service at St Cuthbert’s to which we invite everyone from our community.

We further welcome King Charles III as he begins his reign and pray for him as our Monarch and Defender of the Faith.
